Diffusers are one of my favorite elements to add when styling a space for professional photography. Unlike candles, the diffuser sticks add height and interest to a surface, which often adds the much needed touch for an image. I typically style with items in groups of “3”, so a diffuser is often the last addition on a book, tray or next to a light or art piece. They are great for bathrooms and provide scents while being safer than candles with children in the house.

There are many brands and scents depending on the space. The oils last about 90 days and many brands sell refill oil, so you can re-use the base and sticks. My favorite scents contain lemon, lime, orange, ginger and more masculine scents such as oak and cedar. I avoid flowery scents, but that is a personal preference. Below are some of my favorite diffuser brands and scents.
