The Art & Design of A Room

We were tasked with designing a full empty room around an existing rug, the only thing the homeowners had for the space. They wanted everything, from books to accessories, to be visible in the room. This project, started during the height of Covid, required the majority of the design to be completed virtually.

Behind the Design

We love a challenge! The existing rug had ombre colors that skewed purple, so it took a great deal of searching to find the right blue hues that would complement it and not look too dark.

“Covid required even closer collaboration. The homeowner drew a floor plan of the room with measurements of the walls, windows, and doors, so I could understand the space even though I had never stepped foot into it.”

Wellness Design Feature

Every space should be a reflection of the people who live there. I got to know this couple, their passions, travels, interests, and life goals so that I could design a space that reflected their current lives and their future dreams.
